Scope and goals
Numbered West Virginia Routes as designated by the West Virginia Department of Transportation (WVDOT). Currently, this does not include County routes. The road is to organize, standardize, and expand the articles on West Virginia Routes.

Structure
Route articles should be named "West Virginia Route N" where N is the route number in accordance with AA:NC. Route shields should be in SVG format and stored at Wikimedia Commons and should be named "WV-X.svg", where X is the route number.
Naming convention
Route articles should be named "West Virginia Route N" where N is the route number assigned by WVDOT [1].
Categories
All routes should include [[Category:West Virginia State Highways|nnnA]] where nnn is 3-digit route number, and A is the letter designation if any (e.g. West Virginia Route 1A is "001A", West Virginia Route 2 is "002"). Intra-county routes should also include that county's category.
