New user orientation |
This task force aims primarily to encourage participation in creating or expanding articles about state highways in Kansas, also known as State Highways. This project also aims to establish standards relating to the display of information in these articles. This page and its subpages contain suggestions on formatting and layout of articles.
Scope and goals
The following highways can have entire articles dedicated to them:
- Routes that are constructed, traversable, state-maintained, and signed with their own route numbers.
- Routes that are partly constructed or partly signed.
- Deleted routes with significant information worthy of an article.
- Interstates that run entirely in Kansas (mostly spur and loop routes). Ideally, these should also be part of this WikiProject.
- Kansas-specific Interstate articles. For example: Interstate 70 in Kansas
- Kansas-specific U.S. Highway articles. For example: U.S. Route 75 in Kansas

- KSDOT
- KDOT Pavement Management Information System, the closest thing to a routelog KDOT has. Input route number and click a county. Intersection mileages are indented and listed with the name of the intersecting roads. (Ignore 'RS ####' entries, these are Rural Secondary roads.) Mileposts are given to three decimal places and reset at county lines so addition will be needed to keep a running total.
