Template:Maryland grid map/doc

Maryland grid map is a template that simplifies and better organizes reference calls to the official state highway grid maps produced annually by the Maryland State Highway Administration. These maps serve as a major resource for articles about portions of the Maryland highway system, particularly the Route description section of Maryland highway articles.

Usage

This template has no required parameters. However, you are strongly encouraged to use the following parameters:

• section or sections: one or more map grid sections. Sections are reference by a letter followed by a number, such as J13. This parameter is used to provide a specific indication of what part of the map was used. Generally, this parameter should include all grid sections that include the subject of the highway article.
• access-date: the date the grid maps were accessed

Other parameters include:

• link: set to yes to link Maryland State Highway Administration as the publisher.
• mode: this template uses {{cite map}} as a base, so therefore it is in the Citation Style 1 family of templates. Set this parameter to "cs2" to emulate the Citation Style 2 used by {{citation}}
• ref: for use with shortened footnotes and templates like {{harvnb}} or {{harvp}}.
