- Jun. 2, 2014 – The Interstate 495 bridge over the Christina River in Wilmington, Delaware is closed due to tilting support columns
- Jun. 7, 1963 – The southernmost section of New York's Adirondack Northway is extended north from Malta to US 9
- Jun. 8, 1974 – The full length of Interstate 890 is opened to traffic
- Jun. 8, 2024 – A landslide on Wyoming Highway 22 at Teton Pass causes a part of the roadway to collapse, closing the road for several weeks.
- Jun. 9, 1954 – A new interchange replaces a cloverleaf that had connected the New York State Thruway to NY 96; this would become the southernmost leg of the Eastern Expressway
- Jun. 9, 1972 – New Jersey's Route 58 is extended east from Newark, New Jersey to the Garden State Parkway in East Orange as I-280
- Jun. 9, 2016 – The Robert Moses State Parkway is renamed to the Niagara Scenic Parkway
- June 11, 2023 – A tanker truck crashes and catches fire underneath a bridge along Interstate 95 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, causing the northbound lanes to collapse and damaging the southbound lanes.
- June 15, 1960 – The first section of Schenectady, New York's Crosstown Connection is opened from Union Street to Watt Street
- June 16, 1956 – The Great Egg Harbor Bridge opens in southern New Jersey, carrying the last section opened of the Garden State Parkway around the existing detour over the Beesley's Point Bridge
- June 18, 1963 – The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) approves an extension of U.S. Route 82 along U.S. Route 70 from Alamogordo to Las Cruces in New Mexico.
- June 18, 2004 – The Beesley's Point Bridge in southern New Jersey is permanently closed to traffic; traffic along US 9 must now travel over the Great Egg Harbor Bridge
- June 20, 1963 – The southbound lanes of the southernmost section of New York's Adirondack Northway are extended from US 9 to Marrin Avenue (now Crescent Avenue) south of Saratoga Springs
- June 21, 1960 – The first section of the Niagara Scenic Parkway opens from 4th Street in Niagara Falls to the Rainbow Bridge
- June 22, 1959 – With the rebuilding of Green and Seneca Streets in Ithaca, New York to highway standards, NY 79 is rerouted away from the downtown core of the city
- June 22, 1970 – The middle section of Interstate 684 is extended from Katonah, New York to Bedford Corners
- June 24, 1954 – The first inter-county section of the New York State Thruway opens between a temporary interchange at Lowell to US 15 at West Henrietta, excluding a section already opened north of Victor
- June 27, 1963 – The Niagara Parkway is renamed the Robert Moses State Parkway
- June 28, 1952 – The southern part of the bypass of Toms River, New Jersey opens as part of US 9
- June 29, 1956 - President Dwight D. Eisenhower signs the Federal-Aid Highway Act of 1956 into law
- June 30, 1952 – Buffalo, New York's Humboldt Parkway is redirected eastbound into an underpass below Main Street from Crescent to Loring Avenues, later to become part of the Scajaquada Expressway
- June 30, 1959 – A disconnected section of Philadelphia's Schuylkill Expressway is opened from the Walt Whitman Bridge to Gray's Ferry
