This citation template provides a way to format a link to the Canadian Geographical Names Data Base (CGNDB).

CGNDB Unique Identifier
Name
  • The values for |id= and |name= must be specified.
  • Unnamed parameters are allowed, in the form {{cite cgndb|id|name|access-date}}
  • The template takes all parameters accepted by {{cite web}}, e.g., |access-date=

The CGNDB Unique Identifier is shown on webpage and consists of five capital letters. You can also use an alphanumeric link, such as 710c95bed05411d892e2080020a0f4c9. The will link to all names the feature used. Coordinates, type and other information are included.
