1848 map of the state including turnpikes and state roads built/in progress: no turnpikes incorporated in 1847-48 are on the map, except as thin straight lines, but some state roads are; what's from Buffalo Gap through Millboro towards Warm Springs? West Virginia: Beverly vicinity
[3] (seems to have errors)
In 1919, US 250 was a turnpike from Churchville to Staunton. What was this?

according to [4] it crossed the state line on SR 758 and immediately turned northwest down Road Fork to WV 161

[5] claims both ends were at the Warm Springs and Harrisonburg Turnpike, with Stribling Springs in the middle - in that case it was SR 728 and SR 837 (1860 map)
I think the BPW survey shows SR 728 and SR 837 from Whites Store to Parnassus - in other words not to Dudley's Sawmill (despite mention of this in the survey notes). Unless there was a different Dudley's Sawmill in 1835.

Staunton and Parkersburg Road to Summersville, WV (1853? original act not in index)
Slaven Cabin and Summersville Road was still mentioned in a 1910s USGS topo map of Webster Springs. It also appears that, though it was surveyed to Slaven's Cabin, it was only ever completed to Valley Head, where it connected to the Huntersville & Huttonsville Turnpike. Based on reconstruction of the route on other sources, it appears to have gone through the following towns/locations from east to west: Valley Head, Monterville, Upper Point Mountain School, Waneta, Woodzell (NOTE: The road did not go through Bernardstown; at Woodzell, the road went down the side of the mountain, through Saint Mary's School), St. Mary's School, Ralph, Cherry Falls School (where it crossed the Elk River; today this still exists as Cherry Falls Rd), Kingfisher School, Pleasant Ridge School, Upper Glade, Glade View, possibly Cowen, Welch Glade, Little Glade School, Camden-on-Gauley, Cottle Glade School, Craigsville, Beaver, Hicks School, Nile, and the two Armstrong Schools to Summersville.
