South Dakota Highway 251 (SD 251) is a state route in the U.S. state of South Dakota. SD 251's southern terminus is at the Nebraska state line, and the northern terminus is at U.S. Route 18 (US 18) and SD 47 in Gregory.

Route description

SD 251 begins at the Nebraska state line as a continuation of Gregory Avenue, an unsigned roadway that continues south to the unincorporated hamlet of Mills and to Nebraska Highway 12. SD 251 travels north through rolling plains for six miles before passing through unincorporated Carlock. The route then continues north for about 7.5 miles (12.1 km) and crosses Ponca Creek. Finally, about 2.5 miles (4.0 km) north of the creek, SD 251 reaches its northern terminus with US 18 and SD 47 in the southwestern outskirts of Gregory. At this intersection, US 18 runs east-west while SD 47 continues north and runs concurrent with US 18 to the east.
