Ring 4 often referred to as O4 is an approximately 11-kilometer-long (6.8 mi) ring road that runs through the northern suburbs of Copenhagen, the route begins where Motorring 4 ends at the central Ballerup junction. It runs through Ballerup, Hareskovby, Bagsværd and Kongens Lyngby.

The route starts at Ballerup at the end of Motorring 4, and continues north. The road passes Frederikssundbanen, and then Secondary Route 211 Frederikssundvej where there is a connection to Frederikssund and Copenhagen. It then continues through Hareskovby, and passes the Hillerødmotorvejen in a connection facility where there is a connection to Hillerød and Copenhagen. From here it passes through the northern Bagsværd, where it later continues down Nybrovej, and ends up in a sluice plant at Motorring 3. From here there is a connection to Primary Route 19 that goes towards Copenhagen, E47 to Helsingør, Rødby and E55 to Gedser.[1]
