Iowa Highway 297 (Iowa 297) was a state highway that ran from Gilbertville north to Raymond. It was decommissioned in 2003.
Route description
Iowa 297 began at the intersection of 13th Avenue and 5th Street in downtown Gilbertville. It ran north along 5th Street for several blocks until 20th Avenue. There, the highway turned to the west and then curved back to the north as it exited the town. About one mile (1.6 km) from the endpoint of the route, it met Interstate 380 (I-380), U.S. Highway 20 (US 20), and Iowa 27 (the Avenue of the Saints highway). Continuing north, the route ended at an intersection with Dubuque Road, a former alignment of US 20, in Raymond.[2]
Major intersections
The entire route was in Black Hawk County.
