State Route 3C (SR 3C) is the former designation of a dirt road that mostly parallels the East Walker River and a tributary named Bodie Creek through remote and rugged mountains in Lyon and Mineral counties in Nevada.[2] It is an unimproved road that runs from the California state line southwest of Hawthorne (known in California as Bodie Road, and further south becomes a paved highway, California State Route 270) to SR 208 south of Yerington. The road can be used to access the ghost towns of Aurora, Nevada and Bodie, California.

State Route 3C was commissioned in the mid-1940s. For the northernmost portion of Route 3C, dirt roads exist on either side of the East Walker River. Earlier maps disagree about which of these roads officially carried the 3C designation. The 1948 edition of the United States Geological Survey map shows route 3C routed to the south of the river,[3] while the 1964 edition shows 3C forking with both the road to the south and a road along the northern bank of the river used.[4] Nevada DOT maps only show route 3C along the north bank for this portion. Circa 1973 the southern terminus was truncated to 8 miles (13 km) north to Lucky Boy Road in Mineral County.[5] SR 3C was decommissioned by 1982.[6]
