The Mount Nebo Scenic Byway is a federally designated National Scenic Byway that travels through the Mount Nebo Wilderness. Its southern terminus is at Utah State Route 132 (SR-132) east of Nephi and its northern terminus is just south of Payson, where the roadway transitions to local maintenance. The byway climbs to over 9,000 feet above sea level and features panoramic views of Mount Nebo, the Utah Valley, and Utah Lake far below. There are numerous trailheads along the route for the hiking enthusiasts, including a short walk to the "Devil's Kitchen", an area that has been described as a "mini Bryce Canyon".
