A state resource page of the AARoads Wiki

Hello and welcome to the Utah State Routes task force! If you would like to help, please jump in and start adding or editing.

Scope and goals

This task force covers all Utah state highways. The goal is to create, expand, reference, and clean up Utah State Route articles and make them conform to the same structure.

Assessment and article alerts

Recognized content

AARoads:Utah/Recognized content

Articles should follow AA:MURA.

Naming convention

Articles on signed routes are to be named "Utah State Route N" (where N is the route number assigned by the DOT) per AA:NC.

Law section

Many older Utah Route articles have the law where the route is defined as a separate section. The infobox road template now supports the Utah Law with the "section" field. As articles are updated the Law section should be removed and the infobox updated.

All state highways should include the category tag: [[Category:State highways in Utah|nnn]] where nnn is 3-digit route number (e.g. Route 1 is "001", Route 2 is "002"). Category:Utah Scenic Byways should be added where applicable.

User templates

This editor is interested in Utah roads and highways.

Citation Templates

These templates are wrappers to the cite web template for pages frequently used for citations on Utah road articles. The idea is if UDOT reorganizes their website we have one template to change instead of hundreds of articles to change. If you wish to use these UDOT resources in an article, however, these templates will not meet your needs, please consider improving the templates instead of forking or manual URL's.
